Your support and contributions will enable us to fund our mission of producing high-quality, social justice documentaries. The primary producer, ManagingLove.org's Executive Director, Gwen Cassady, has invested 5 years and approximately $50,000 (not including cameras or any equipment). Every dollar you give goes to filming costs and future social justice films. Our next film 'Traffikid' is currently in pre-production.
Currently, approximately 59% of the American population is one paycheck away from becoming unhoused according to a Charles Schwab 'Modern Wealth Survey'. Prior to COVID, and when we began filming our documentary on the perils of homelessness, that statistic was 40%.
There are so many misconceptions about the currently unhoused, and our expository documentary, ‘If It Could Happen to Me, It Could Happen to You,’ hopes to shed light and raise awareness of this severe epidemic.
Our primary goal is to raise awareness to this ever growing population by sharing the stories of those who are currently unhoused and their struggles. The most marginalized and downtrodden of our society, the currently unhoused are people too. Our goal is to help our viewers have a more thorough understanding of how they became unhoused and what we can do to help these individuals.

Founded in 2018, Managing Love was formed to help facilitate a fashion and upcycling business for over a dozen refugees in Charlottesville, VA. An ever-evolving organization, our award-winning team currently facilitates:
1. Vision Forward Media
2. Kids Climate Club
3. Love Mother Earth
4. Super Kids Group
5. EcoChic.Boutique
6. Cville Villas
7. Global Policy @ the United Nations to Combat Homelessness
8. Domestic Policy to Combat Human Trafficking,
Specifically Child Trafficking
We began creating short films. Our first one premiered at the United Nations during the first intergovernmental dialogue to combat global homelessness, and quickly gained attention for our unique and creative approach to filmmaking.
We expanded our services to include feature films, commercials, private ceremonies, events, and videos for local non-profits and international organizations like the Earth Day Network. We now have a team of dedicated professionals who work tirelessly to bring our clients' visions to life.
Our next documentaries: 'Traffikid © ' and 'No Care, Hellth Care © ' are our primary focus. In the pipeline, we anticipate:
1. 'Spent © ' -Impending Student Debt Crisis
2. 'Freeze © ' - Gun Control
3. 'The Energy Wars © ' - Renewable Energy

We are actively submitting our film to over 25 film festivals. Per the terms of the festivals, we will not be able to do a public screening until approximately 6 months after the festival dates. However, we are able to show our friends and family the film. Therefore, please reach out to Gwen@ManagingProjects.org to arrange for your private viewing. We welcome all new friends, especially those wanting to help the currently unhoused.
Harvard University has expressed the most interest in our film thus far. From private viewings at the Kennedy School of Public Policy, the Chan School of Public Health, and the Design School, to a plethora of student groups, most notably the Global Development Practice student group, we will begin our East Coast tour visiting friends to show them our film to raise awareness in April.
In addition, the Governor's office and Mayor's office of New York (as well as the five boroughs with their delegates) have expressed an interest in private viewings.
We will also do private screenings for our friends in the following cities where we filmed. We hope each agency will want to partner in doing a fundraiser and most especially to raise awareness for their clients and guests:
1. Charlottesville, VA
2. Roanoke, VA
3. Washington, DC
4. New York, NY
5. Boston, MA
6. Detroit, MI
7. Chicago, IL
8. Indianapolis, IN
9. Myrtle Beach, SC
10. Columbia, SC
11. Wilmington, NC
As the producer, I wanted to focus on the cities that I was most familiar with and those cities that had the deepest meaning to me in terms of helping the currently unhoused. Born and raised in the Indianapolis area and having been trafficked by my mother starting at age 4, I endured and was exposed to many atrocious acts against humanity where dozens of innocent homeless people were involved. Trafficked from Indianapolis to Chicago several times in my childhood, these cities played a pivotal role in my wanting to help as many currently unhoused people that I could.
Residing in Charlottesville, Virginia and having volunteered for teenage agencies in NYC in my twenties, it was important that we focused on our hometown of Charlottesville and comparable Southeastern cities and communities.
Currently taking courses towards my Masters in Global Development Practice at Harvard, it was also very important to highlight the challenges pertaining to the currently unhoused in Boston.
It is the hope of the Vision Forward Media team that you will be inspired to want to help the currently unhoused, especially in your local community.
We concurrently filmed 3 documentaries to help save money. The next documentary we are working on, 'Traffikid © ' is an expository documentary on the perils of human trafficking with a focus on child trafficking. Whereas, 'No Care, Hellth Care © ' focuses on our failed health care system, with a focus on the mental well being crisis in America.
If you would like to be considered to be a part of the Vision Forward Media team, please reach out to Gwen@ManagingLove.org.
We also film local and international non-profits as well as other ceremonies and events. Please reach out to inquire about your needs!
Do you have questions or comments about our film? Do you have a theater where we could arrange a screening? Send us a message, and we will get back to you soon.
